Hughes Park
Hughes Park
Hughes Park is a large historic property and homestead which was built by Sir Walter Watson Hughes back in 1845, who was the co-founder of Adelaide University, and discovered/owned the Wallaroo/Moonta Mines. Since then Hughes Park has been a sheep farming property which is now in its sixth generation with Andrew Duncan running the farm with his wife Alice and 4 children Daisy, Millie, Sophia and Tom. The picturesque grounds of Hughes Park set in the Skilly Hills are now open to guests who desire a fairy-tale wedding or a unique event set against a peaceful, rural backdrop
Hughes Park is a beautiful location to hold your wedding or event, on the lawns in the traditional English garden in front of the majestic 2 storey homestead. Surrounded by Australian Gums and vineyards, it has a setting to match the dreams of most brides and grooms. The picturesque grounds in the Skilly Hills are now open to guests who desire a fairy-tale wedding or a unique event set against a peaceful, rural backdrop.
Have your wedding or event at Hughes Park with so many beautiful spots on the property for your photographs, amongst the ancient gum trees, in the lush vineyards, in our garden or in front of our historic homestead the possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
